Two is a lucky number for Jennifer Hudson. I Remember Me is her second album. It is a mixture of soft instrumentals and powerful vocals. The 12-track CD has a traditional R&B/soul vibe with an occasional jazzy feel. Jennifer Hudson is a superstar who has moved well beyond her American Idol beginnings. I loved this album and would highly recommend it.
Hudon's silky smooth voice is a hallmark of her music and makes for easy listening—including on her latest CD. She delivers her lyrics in a soft, soothing tone, each song more enjoyable than the last. Listening to I Remember Me is the perfect tonic for unwinding. My personal favorites were the three singles: "Where You At," "I Remember Me," and "No One Gonna Love You."
The positive tone of the album is another big reason to like it. Messages of empowerment, overcoming obstacles, and self-confidence ring throughout the entire album. Her lyrics leave you feeling strong and upbeat while the instrumentals send a peaceful vibe.
Jennifer Hudson is clearly in a very good place in her life and this shines through in I Remember Me. This CD would be a great addition to your music library and earns"Â five stars from me!
