January Artist of the Month Contest

Grab your paints, pencils, and paper and turn up your creativity! We're looking for" "  teen girls to share their artistic skills with Teen Voices! Compete with artists around the world to become one of 12 Artists of the Month semi-finalists. Then go head-to-head for the title of Teen Voices Artist of the Year! Amplify your creative voice by submitting your art for each month's theme. The contest will begin on January 1, 2012 with each monthly centered on a different theme (for example: sisterhood, power, beauty, or heritage).

To kick off our first-ever Artist of the Month contest we're asking you to submit art for the theme "Girls in Schools." What do you like about school? Do you daydream in homeroom? Is there a certain teacher who has made difference in your life? How? Any issues regarding education for girls that you want to speak out about? Places in school you like to hang out?"  Subjects you either hate or love?

These are just a few ideas to get you thinking. Now open your sketchbook, grab your camera, or create a sculpture and explore the possibilities!
