The movie Joyful Noise, starring Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton, and Keke Palmer was a fun, uplifting movie about a choir whose director has passed away. For many years this choir has participated in a national competition. As the time for the next competition fast approaches, the choir members get nervous and do not want to lose anymore. They are faced with challenges trying to get their headstrong choir director to start doing more exciting music and go out on a limb.
When widow's nephew returns to live with his grandmother and has the musical talent that the choir members have been wanting. After fighting long and hard to get their choir director on board with them, the singers then have to battle against situations to get all the way to LA and finally win this competition. While all of this is going on there are new relationships being formed, old ones coming back together, and the challenges of being faithful to your religion and what you believe in, even though your situation may seem rough and hard to deal with.
This movie was good at showing what it is like being a person who is struggling with everyday issues and having to stay on track with their lives. It was thought provoking for me—it made me think about the struggles I go through and how I find it hard to get through them and remain as strong as or even stronger than before. Joyful Noise did a good job of showing me what it is like to have to struggle for what you want and how hard you have to push sometimes to get what you want.

I really want to see this movie! Even though I am not a singer, and really don't care for movies that include a lot of singing, I believe that this movie would be great to watch. Based on this review, it seems like Joyful Noise uplifts the audience and really makes them think about life in a whole new perspective. I can't wait for this movie to come out on DVD so I can watch it. Plus, I love Keke Palmer!
This movie has been out for awhile now and i still haven't seen it. I would love to see this movie. It looks very interesting, i've been singing ever since i was a little girl but never really got the feel for it. Queen Latifah is an amazing actor and Kiki Palmer is a wonderful singer. Hopefully i go see this movie next weekend !!!
