Poetry: “In the Black”

The swarms of her come to attack her
The words biting, red welts and stings
Like bees, they steal the honey from her
And leave her a sad, flowerless thing
The roots of her, weigh her down
Planted, embedded, one, with the negativity
Every step is a weight and a weight and a wait
She's like a tree, standing, unmoving, there's just fate
The colors of her are whisked away, into a gray
To match the steel locks, clamped on her brain
And with black and white vision, her eyes are betrayed
Seeing change's tombstone and everything as the same
The feelings of her would come to the surface
Fragile, shining bubbles, pre-destined to pop
Her whole word was stuck in a nightmare catcher
A cell, trapped in the darkness of her own thoughts

I love this poem! It really made me think and I even had to read some lines over to really understand what they meant but once I did everything clicked. The last line wrapped it all together.
This poem is amazing, it has a meaning that many may not quite get. I know I didn't understand it fully the first time I read it. It took me a few times to go over it befor I got the full meaning. Great writting I hope you continue and never let anyone's negative thoughts or comments stop you from writting.
This is truely amazing
Man i get what she saying, people make you feel like worthless and nothing, but got to lift your self up and show thome they dont run you.
