From Girlhood to Womanhood: Are We There Yet?
Feature Editor:

Diana Pelaez, 15

Growing up is hard for everyone. Adults give us liberties and rules that clash with each other. We often feel ignored or told what to do, or both, which can leave us confused about where we stand in society. One way to help deal with the challenge of growing up is through a rite of passage, a celebration that symbolizes the transition from girlhood into womanhood. You may already know a ritual that you go through in your culture or you may want to create your own.
When do you become a woman? Is it when you get your period, your driver's license, or the right to vote? Teen Voices looks at the many different ways to acknowledge you have grown up.
