Individual volunteers work in a variety of Rosie’s Place programs and are essential in programs providing one-on-one service to poor and homeless women. We frequently hear from volunteers that they are uplifted by the experience of helping our guests and get back more than they give.
You can volunteer at Rosie’s Place in several ways:
- Teach or tutor adult women learning English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL)
- Visit with an isolated woman in the community to share interests and activities
- Prepare and serve meals at lunch or dinner
- Lead an arts workshop
- Help guests shop in our Rosie’s Place Groceries food pantry
